Wow, I actually really like the animation / artstyle in the OP. Might be in the minority, but I prefer the tone of the OP over the trailers'. Assume the show won't be anything like this. Anyone know who was the main animator for this or got the OP animation credits handy?

| I have some VERY mixed feelings about this show as a whole, but that's besides the point here. This opening? It's extremely well done even though it doesn't really fit this show too well. Honestly it's gotta be fairly high on my list for anime that have an overdone opening or are overwhelmed by their opening song/visuals. |

| @KryzakamiHrybami Cloverworks has to have a coin flip or something that decides which anime will become a "showcase" of their talents and what they're capable of doing or something like that. Otherwise I have no idea why they put so much into this opening when it doesn't fit the show and it falls in comparison. |

| @gwang9787 Seems like it was Nichika Oono who did the opening with Tomohiro Kasai as the assistant. No other staff have credits for it on MAL so it looks like it was just those 2. Nichika Oono in particular has also done work on a LOT of other well animated projects, like in between animation for SAO ordinal scale, and the Kaguya Love is War S1 ending, which were both very well done. |

| I usually dislike CGI in anime but this opening is really good. I wonder what makes it different, did they draw over the 3D animation? |
