@animefanftw123 I hope that's a good sign.
It seems like the pv shows the story only revolves around the two of them.

@fabiandewa19 Thats usually how PVs go until they want to show off other characters or till they secured the VAs for them.

I loved Sally Amaki in 22/7 and Tomo-chan (both English and Japanese) so I'm totally sold on this project now.

Looks cute. I've been out of tune with what's releasing this year so far, so it will be a fresh start here.

@Tacsk0 Yep, and now hardly anyone talks about it.

Wonder why.

Plus its animation has nothing to do with (not) needing VAs.

Doesn't look half bad so far, a pretty good idea too, I'll give it a shot and see how it does, hopefully it doesn't fumble it's execution hard like most shows with unique ideas do. After watching and seeing Alya's "Russian" being basically a pointless gimmick to that show last summer and not actually using it's idea much. I hope this one ends up doing a better job with it's cultural and language differences and make them actually have purpose.
I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

@MewsicMagic I have 0 clue why you're comparing this to Alya.

The FMC is just a girl from England living in Japan.

No "gimmicks" to be had here.

Did you actually watch the trailer?

Plus with this being a SoL, its clearly going to be more slow paced also unlike Alya.

The FMC speaking somewhat in a different language is the only "connection" you can make here to Alya.

Just because she does, doesnt mean theres going to be a gimmick with it.

@animefanftw123 There is literally "cultural exchange" in the name of the show, did you somehow not see that part? The whole main thing that would make Alya substantially different from most high school romance shows was the language portion of it, both this show and Alya have language differences.

"The FMC is just a girl from England living in Japan." Yes both her and Alya are just girls from other countries living in Japan.

"Did you actually watch the trailer?" Of course that's why I commented here, I've seen Alya too.

"Plus with this being a SoL, it's clearly going to be a more slow paced also unlike Alya." And? Why does that matter?

"I have 0 clue why you're comparing this to Alya." I don't see how it's hard to figure out?

"No "gimmicks" to be had here." How?

I wasn't really making a big "comparison" between these shows per se, just pointing out one aspect that I hoped this show will do a good job with. The cultural and language differences were the whole reason I used Alya's pointless use of Russian in that show as the "comparison", do you have a clue as to why now? I used that show because they both have languages differences in them. I called Alya speaking Russian in that show pointless because it was and that's what made it a gimmick. It was pointless because it brought nothing really meaningful to the show besides a couple comedy scenes. No we don't need argue over my opinion on Alya, opinions are subjective and are the prime cause of pointless arguments that go nowhere.

Cultural exchange exchange doesnt always refer to language. It could be receiving gifts you can only get in one area.

Due to the fact its not going to focus on the language aspect of the FMC as clearly shown in the trailer. Plus if you read the synopsis, it doesnt say anything about language playing a role.

Its clear you're trying to make this into something its not.

You're saying that language will play a role when it wont.

Keep ignoring all the facts i provide and live in your own little bubble.
