Is just saitama with cool ass hair style and magical abilities. Iam not saying this copied that or that copied this. All I'm saying is that they are both so close, when you think about it.

Things I like to point out
I'll do ever thing in my power to not spoil anyone who haven't cought up with series Manga/Manhwa

Both mc, one barked the limiter that no one did and the other did something similar.

Both have issues with God.
one got the biggest glow up and the other got blad.

Both are op yah not just op they are fuck*n OOOPPP

bruh really has zero manga listing in his account and giving his opinion on manga and manhwa 💀

and yeah both have pretty much same chronology when it comes to story

also, if you start reading manhwa then every 2/3 story is copy pasta of -> mc (super weak) -> get isekaied -> becomes overpowered instantly(even God fears him) -> ????more copy pasta???? -> boom boom 💥💥

Maybe when you look at surface-level value there are similarities, but fundamentally...?

For example, their "OPness" is explored differently. One Punch Man starts with Saitama already being OP and researches how that invincible power is making him emotionless and forget why he even trained so hard in the first place. While Solo Leveling focuses on Jin-Woo's journey to become strong and the effect the system has on him.

The comedy aspect of OPM, their goals, the world, etc. All have their differences that make them different series regardless of the surface-level similarities you can find.

Yes SL was definitely inspired (many manwhas are) by it but it took all the wrong lessons from OPM

I like anime, not a big Fan of Manga, the reason I don't upload my Manga entry is simple, because I started most of the Mangas from middle, their are only few Mangas that I read from starting to end(i can count all of them with my right hand alone).

kiju no8
chainsaw man, some I started and reading left them mid way, I don't think mid I completed any Manhwa completely so far.

and the reason is simple, I haven't been reading Manga since that long. iam to lazy to added and ism actually good without adding Manga to my list.

if you've read a few mangas and manhwas, you'll know solo levelling ain't doing anything new. the Dungeon fantasy genre has existed and been done for a long time. solo kevelling has the same plot as probably the next 30 Dungeon fantasy manhwas. it's just solo levelling uo ate the artstyle and has a really handsome MC.
One punch man, 8s satirical as it makes fun of OP superheros and other cliches of the genre.
in my opinion, they have the same base but are completely different and market different things as well.
also I'm kinda tired of people thinking solo leveling is the goat. Omniscient Reader Viewpoint is literally there anyways

@OvergrownRover This is either Solo Leveling Ragnarok or the side stories; the same author did not write the former. Also, this is the manwha adaptation of it, so it could very well be something the artist decided to do. Plus, it's just a reference. For something you described as “definitely inspired,” you have very flimsy “proof” of it.

I don't know why you think that I said solo leveling is got, you can just see my ratings for the anime decide your self.

I said the part about God wanting a vassal to contain his Power was so close, off course I haven't exactly Said like this, because I didn't want to give spoilers, I mean if you read Manga or Manhwa you wouldn't have missed my point.

and I have knowledge that solo leveling is nothing new, I've read many power fantasy Manhwas, before solo leveling, non I have completed reading thought.

I'll make my self clear, if you didn't get me from my first post, I said solo leveling is just saitama with cool ass hair, not one punch man is just some wung Wong with no hair. carefully highliting one punch man as superior.

There are similarities, but they’re still vastly different. One is a power fantasy, one is a parody of the super hero genre, one has no focus on side characters, one has a huge focus on them, one is fairly serious, the other is a wacky comedy.

There are just as much (if not more) similarities between Black Clover and Wistoria… or To Your Eternity and Frieren. There aren’t many original ideas left, so of course some stories will be similar in certain ways.

The only similarity is a powerful protagonist… This is not an uncommon trait in anime

Hehe don’t worry, I’m just joking around. I don’t mean to make fun of you. I do agree that solo leveling and one punch man are quite similar. The OP mc, the organisations against monsters. But I feel like they’re both unique in their own way. I’m not a fan of any two of them tho, OPM kinda fizzled out for me, it just didn’t seem fun after the first few eps, except the saitama and garou fight. Solo leveling just didn’t strike me as anything too great either, it’s fun but that’s it for me. Also, this may seem a little rude but it’s spelled “realise” and not “release”, so you won’t have trouble with that in the future.
