Basically, I feel like I’ve experienced the majority of truly pinnacle anime, and I need help deciding on what I should watch/read next. The problem is I easily find problems with things so here’s my list and my reasons I haven’t watched it yet. Feel free to convince me otherwise for whichever one.

Code Geass - Artstyle, old animation, and it just felt mid for some rzn off the first ep. I love genius mcs tho.

Frieren - Elf mc, feels unrelatable, idk I have a grudge against this anime for unexplainable reasons.

Gintama - I love serious things so I feel like I wouldn’t wanna watch a long comedy, but I feel like the serious arcs would be peak after the comedy. Also, the animation is old, which isn’t a deal breaker but still.

Hunter x Hunter - Gon has no drip, he and Killua are absolute children which makes it unrelatable, anime is unfinished (not highly problematic), MC legit changes in the manga (huge issue) which makes no sense to me.

Mob Psycho - Character design, although I think the animation looks good. If I enjoyed OPM, I’ll probs enjoy this in regards to character design, but Garou carries my rating of it (especially manga).

JJBA - Love the fashion but the characters look kinda weird and I don’t like how there’s a new MC every part (how is there even development atp?).

Your Lie In April - Outta my genre, with limited time I feel like I would enjoy something else more, though I could be wrong.

SAO - Heard atrocious things about anything past s1. Kirito looks so soft and punchable.

Monster - I know I’d like this but I can’t get into it cuz of art style of both the manga and anime and other hard to explain rzns. The characters faces look soft idk how to explain it and idk why the main character is never spoken about.

Ragna Crimson - I’m 5 episodes in but I just can’t get past the fact the mc was with an adolescent per se. I also just can’t comprehend why he’d allow himself to be crimsons puppet and not gaf about anything else or why he gets immediately buffed by having his future self’s powers.

@deg The whole point is that I’m picky when it comes to certain things, so I need reassurance that x aspect will or will not affect my enjoyment.

@yogie6969 if youre a perfectionist then maybe you will not enjoy them at all but if youre not go watch them since im sure you will enjoy them overall

I'm afraid there's almost 0% probability of you having experienced "the majority of truly pinnacle anime" if you're disregarding some of these great titles for such nitpicky reasons.

I don't personally love the artstyle of Code Geass, but everything else makes it totally worthwhile.

How is "elf mc" a negative? #1 show on this site for a reason - suggest just giving it a try.

One of the most thought-provoking masterpieces out there, disregarded because "character's faces look soft" - come on!

Not really sure if I can help here, but it reminds me that continuing to watch Sword Art Online despite all the negative things I had heard about it was one of the best decisions I've ever made about anime.
(edit: turns out, nobody I ever talked about the series irl thinks it's bad. From how I see it, it's blown completely out of proportions)

Finished TBV yesterday, it’s peak and likely has a better MC than any show listed above (lelouch and gintoki could be better).

The only one I can recommend without any asterisk added is Mob Psycho.

"felt mid" "unrelatable" "unserious" "No drip" "heard"

Horrible reasons to not watch an anime.

The first season of Code Geass was good. The last few episodes also get pretty wild. But I think the second season is the best of the series. I haven't gotten that far in the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime. I watched the first season (Parts 1 & 2) and watched a little bit of the third season (Part 3). Whereas I've read the first four parts of the manga and am currently on Part 5. Jojo fans have certain parts that they like. Parts 1 and 4 are my personal favorites. Although Part 1 is considered the least popular of the Jojo parts.

I don't know how to help you man. The amount of closed-mindedness is astounding. I don't think you can ever come to enjoy 'truly pinnacle anime' if you keep thinking negatively like this. And if you're not gonna allow yourself to enjoy it, what's the point of watching it in the first place? Anyway if you truly want peak then what you should really watch is Kodomo no Jikan.
