Chronological order:

After watching One Punch Man, I fell in love and kept watching anime. Crunchyroll was the first, but as the years go by, I realised these websites are like islands; they have exclusivity. This led me to worry about what I might be missing out.

Eventually I stumbled on myanimelist and it appears to be a catalogue for all animated eastern content. It is a slice of heaven and my only go-to place, but the way it's structured in one aspect is frustrating; recently, I watch anime on a website that is structed by new releases; top-left is the newest episode and everything is displayed in tile form and anime media box art (thumbnail). But, it only goes back to a bit and there's no control (I can't remove etc). Whereas in myanimelist, the closest they have is Seasonal Anime. Thus, an idea came:

After users create a profile and in the drop-down, under Bookshelf, you have Mediashelf. Here you have a tab for New Releases and it displays every single animated show released from China and Japan in thumbnail form and tile view. Users have the option to left click each art and it'll bring them to the usual page with sypnosis etc. Right clicking will allow users some option like: Hide Title, Hide Series, Favourite, etc. I can favourite an anime I watched (appears in a separate section) and hide it from new releases.

This idea is beneficial for both parties. For the website owner, more valuable and garners more traffic. For users, they finally have one place where they can see everything and be able to organise them to their preferences.

And the seasonal archive don't help for that? You can go back as winter 1917 and go all the way up to 2025.

That’s actually a solid idea! I use MyAnimeList all the time, and having a feature like "Mediashelf" would be a game-changer. I always find myself jumping between Crunchyroll, Netflix, and other sites trying to catch the latest episodes. Being able to see all the new releases in one spot and organize them would save so much time. Plus, the ability to hide or favorite shows would make tracking what I’ve watched way easier.
