I haven't watched the series yet so Im asking this since the Terminator Dark Fate ignores the event that happened in terminator 3. So Im wondering, does this follow the original canon, which is Terminator 1, 2, and 3. Or will it follow the Dark Fate as well?

I've read in the wiki that this series treats all of the prior films as canon, but which film does it follow exactly?

Does it follow the event in Terminator 3? Or ignore it as well? Or maybe both like in a multiverse thing? This series always involves time travel, so multivere plot is a possibility as well

But if the answer of this question kinda enter the spoiler territory, do let me know as well without answering it if possible.

I don't know what's going on with this franchise anymore. They keep milking it all the time.

It seems like its own separate canon or happening simultaneously as part 2, but after the finale it seems like the former.

The answer is none, it just does the same thing that all movies did aka going back in time to stop skynet. It got few elements new but there is nothing different about this series. Honestly we hit the peak with Terminator 2 judgement day and we will never reach that peak again but that's fine.

So you can watch this series as an afterthought as until season 2 comes there is nothing certain on what path it's going.
2025 might be the year where I will be happy. This year is not happy year.

Everything suggests this story is canon because it doesn't step on the foot of the movies.
They mention Skynet tried multiple times to assassinate rebel leaders with time travel. Thus acknowledging the existence of the movies, and they take place prior to Zero.
They also mention that every time someone travels back in time they creates a new time line.
