| Here's an example (scroll to the bottom of the list): https://myanimelist.net/people/2714/Kyoko_Okazaki Clearly there're many manga authors who have some sort of work pending for them but they aren't displayed like that, they're invisible on author pages unless they're approved. How does it work? Is it because these manga are somehow internally linked to the author through the DB but are for some reason unapproved? Why? And how, since it's not possible to specify and author during a manga submission except by writing them in "more info" section or something like that? (Or to do the "add work" feature on the author's page and link it to the pending submission but it's weird since this virtually never gets approved). In any case it looks super weird. Another example: https://myanimelist.net/people/1938/Osamu_Tezuka Oh, and now that I think about it, it's weird that I can click the "add work" button for a person and see pending manga roles for them, but not pending anime roles. |
