NovelUpdate Review

I'm mentioning the part here:

The Racism is so disappointing because it is basically a throw away line that seems like nothing more than a joke but is unfortunately unavoidable as it is integral to the plot and Jun Mo Xie's character.

Note that there is major spoiler ahead:

There is only 1 conversation where it is brought up in any relevant way. Mei Xue Yan, one of Jun Mo Xie's future wife explains the reason why she is letting some of her enemies live even if she had to get hurt herself.

MXY: These people will be critical for the success of a major upcoming battle.

JMX: Who gives a crap? They hurt you so kill them, f*ck this future battle.

MXY: But this is a battle against monsters! The safety of all the people of this continent is at stake. The enemy are evil and powerful demons that can disappear from site, camouflage themselves into trees and rocks and move like one with the shadow!

JMX: Still not seeing why this is your problem.

MXY: They are all in*estuous brothers and sisters Siamese twins that live for thousands of years.

JMX: Eh, that's kinda sick but still not your problem... wait a minute those fighting skills sound very familiar, what language to these speak?

MXY: They have some weird language that no one understand, their battlecry is fierce and disgusting... something like... ba... baka...

JMX:... Bakayaro?

MXY: Yes that's it!

JMX:... !#!@@# Its the dam Japs! Ok I'm in, we gonna kill them all!!!

MXY... what?

And that's basically it! The fact that these evil in*est Siamese Twin monster speaks Japanese is pretty much never mentioned again. However it is also inherently unavoidable because Jun Mo Xie's first reason to fight these monster was that they speak Japanese, he as a character is racist and sees no issue with this.

One of his wife is literally a thousand year old bird monster that managed to transform into a human and he has no problem with this at all and even went to great length to protect her dignity but when it comes to the evil monster that speak Japanese, then they must DIE DIE DIE!

The novel never pick up on this again, always referring to these monster thereafter as the Yi tribe people and they are basically a footnote at the end of the novel that got annihilated by Jun Mo Xie in less than a sentence.

This OtherWorldly Evil Monarch, then Solo Leveling webnovel and many other Korean young adult writers spew utter hatred for current Japan and its people.
This sort of vulgar racism is sickening. They should be better than their ancestors.

Entertainment (anime, donghua, novel webnovel etc) influence young people. We should criticize racism so young minds don't get influenced by blind brain washing nationalism which lead 1939's German Hitler turn Germany from strong nation to dumpster fire after their loss in ww2.

Shame to the racist writer.
