Hello everyone
I just finished third season, and just like the other 2 seasons, I loved it.
Due to that Im thinking about start reading either the manga or the LN.
What would you guys suggest and what is the difference between manga and LN??
I've seen a lot of people suggestion LN over anime and anime over manga.
I would really appreciate it.
Thank your.

I've watched the anime and read the LN. If you want to read it, I'd reccomend the LN, and if you want to spend some time on it, start from the beginning. The problem with the anime is that it cuts a lot of stuff out from the LN, to the point where it's more of a highlight reel than an adaptation.
From what I know about the manga, Ayanokoji is completely different from both the LN and anime.

Read the LN, I'd suggest start from after s1. I think it's Volume 4. Or if you don't want to start reading from there atleast start with the end of the year exam, should be Volume 12.

If you're interested in it then I say go for it bro and I hope you enjoy it.

I've read the first couple chapters and would say that it's worth reading purely because of how much different Ayanokoji feels when you can hear all of his thoughts.

I see that he's one of your favourited characters so I hope the light novel can deepen your appreciation of him.

The differences
Anime:
Season 1: Good Adaption, covered 3 volumes in 12 episodes, volume 1-3, changed some characters, made Horikita look like Tsundere, turned Karuizawa and Ichinose into Horikita in few scenes

Season 2:
Well, covered 6 volumes in 13 episodes, volume 4-7.5
kind of a Disaster,
half of the scenes were skipped or were ruined with low details (Important one too)

Season 3:
same as Season 2,
covered 5 volumes in 13 episodes,
important scenes were skipped,
"That should do it" instead of the full monologue

Manga:
Year 1:
Bad
Ayanokouji shows emotion

Year 2:
Good but slow,
only 20 chapters out covering a single volume in LN

Light Novel:
Year 1:
Ayanokouji is Gaslights readers into thinking he is a normal person, he often contradicts himself
Year 2:
Peak

You should start the Light Novel, from at least volume 4 but I Highly recommend starting from Volume 1

there are volumes 4.5, 7.5 and 11.5 which covers vacations there are important as well

after v11.5 there is Year 2, read order is volume 1 to 8 then volume 0 and then continue 9, 10...

if you dislike books then you can just read manga since Y2 manga is actually not too bad, but doesn't have too much stuff out.

However, i myself ain't a book worm either but COTE LN really hooked me. It's seriously amazing and especially Y2.

The anime skips and changes a lot of stuff from LN, especially the monologues which are really important to the story and characters. So i suggest reading the LN from the start which is what i did after finishing the 2nd season of the anime.

So how did the 1st, 2nd, 3rd anime seasons due against the written material?
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

The Light Novel is the original. You don't need a bigger argument than that.

Started reading the LN, it's definitely worth it to start from the start - far more fleshed out characters makes it worthwhile.
The anime definitely butchered the MC's personality. Not that it hasn't been an enjoyable watch to date though.
