because it's a bad anime and bad anime will never get you interested. Watch some good anime instead. I was the same, I watched it and the anime is boring and episodic. The recency bias is the only reason people love it right now. And the animation I guess was ok, but I don't see what's good about it certainly not the story, i've seen better story writing in shounen anime lol.

It's another wannabe Kino's journey type of anime, at least kino's journey was a little better because each new town presented some pretty deep and interesting themes and topics which differed significantly from the previous towns

It's an amazing anime, but nothing is for everyone, not even the best thing. You've given it a shot, it doesn't jive with you. Sucks, but nothing wrong with that.
