Umineko project

I started reading a older version (from steam)of the vn a couple of days ago and already finished episode 1. But then I found out about the project umineko version and I just wanna know if l'll miss anything special by not reading that version and if the music is different. I prefer the character designs from the one I'm reading.

I didn't know where else to ask this since mal doesn't have VNs

Yeah, it enhances pretty much everything in the visual novel. You should switch to the ps3 version port as soon as possible.

Yeah use the PS3 sprites they're the best ones easily. The VA'ing is also godtier

No new music for the ps3 version... at least not notably. they might have done a different opening. I dont think it matter which version if the VN you play, depends mostly on if you want voice acting. Manga changes some key puzzles around so I dont recommend switching between the two mediums

Even putting character design preferences aside Umineko Project has animations that make it much better, especially in some later scenes.

If you don’t care about the animations then there is another option called 07th Mod that allows you to pick which character designs to use but some of the animations aren’t there. Basically all of the music is the same in every version excluding a single copyrighted song.

07th mod is patched into the steam version so it’s a bit easier to download than Umineko Project as well.

Definitely download one of the two though they both add the voice acting and it’s fantastic.

My personal preference is Umineko Project.

i think ryukishi's sprites are superior, but as long as you have a version with voice acting you'll have a complete experience. also, do not use the pachinko sprites (the ones with yaoi face syndrome)
