According to it there will never be a Sequel or Prequel to this season, is that really true?

I can't really see it after almost a decade:"( + with what the article says. But Kimi ni Todoke did have a season 3 announced and its been a decade so hopefully Noragami has its fortune too🙏🙏

IIRC the DVD sales were poor for the second season so it wasn’t renewed for a third. The first two seasons cover about 40 chapters of the manga, but there’s 108 out now so they definitely have enough source material to work with. We may eventually see a new project, could be a new season or reboot the whole series, nobody really knows.

As we all know, nothing is impossible. There is always a possibility for another season as we can see other series getting new seasons after years and years of waiting. However, I recommend you to not get your hopes up. We will just have to wait and see.

It'll definitely come. Just look at From Me To You and Blue Exorcist. Even Finest Assassin. I'm not gonna lose hope. It's just a matter of time. No one knows when but I await the day it will be announced.

I heard only the last chapter is remaining...so there is chance of after after that...just like bleach and vlack clover...(TYBW was announced after manga eneded , and black clover too is rumored to return back after the last ongoing arc ends in December)

no , its better , studio will know and plan number of epsidoes ...i gave examples of bleach and black clover.
TYBW was announced after manga ended ,
black clover will get continuation afteranga ends tbis December....all these were discontinued but got continuations after manga ended.

Bleach and black clover are really popular anime so it makes sense

but noragami performed terribly in blu ray sales of season 2 hence I don't think there is much chance

it doesnt show completed on mal if that's not updated
I just read 2 months ago its in final chapters
but will prolly take few more months cuz its monthly

Just to throw my opinion out there, I'd love to see a season 3! Norigami was the first anime I watched. It's what got me in to anime in the first place! Norigami holds a very special place in my heart, I'd love to see a third season.

@Khushal_v I don’t think blu ray sales don’t determine a season 2 anymore especially when have all these generic fantasy animes and older animes that got renewed recently didn’t have that much of sales either

Anything can happen given how randomly some sequels or reboots have been announced, although the staff can be different too. Helps that the manga is officially ending in a couple weeks with the final chapter so there won't be any more worries about delays and hiatus issues that the manga consistently dealt with that prevented an anime from feasibly happening for a long time.
