I'm not sure but most people in Japan loves the generic isekai op protagonist and it makes alotta of money.

The studios will just keep making those since they are making so much money anyways and no need to go out of their safe zone.

Hopefully this changes but I'm already happy with Mushoku Tensei S2 and Re:Zero S3.

This is funny actually. I've heard that japanese people blamed overseas people for the current anime trends instead lol.

This was one of my very first anime back then and since then it’s my absolutely favorite and will never get beaten (for personal reasons) and I’ll never give up the hope that it might get a second season no matter what people will tell me cuz I just stupidly love that show :,)

Is very frustrating. I would have never imagined when the anime ended, that a decade later I would still wait for the second season. When they made a movie after 3 years, I got hopeful, I was sure that this was just preparing us for the next season, why make a otherwise? Now is been nearly 5 years since the movie, I can't believe it. Not only that, but they ended the series in a cliffhanger. Is ridiculous how long is been... Back then I was in my early 20's and full of hope for the future, now I am in my early 30's and I waiting to die of old age any day now. The anime industry was like so different when this aired, anime was still a niche and far from mainstream. Also, I clearly remember this selling well, so why the hell did it not get a new season?

I legitimately don't get why this never got a 2nd season considering how popular it is.

And yeah, it was one of my first Isekai and it was pretty enjoyable. Would definitely love a Season 2.

I think this was my first Isekai, wasn't a big fan of the fan service but everything else swooped me off my feet, I didn't even know what Isekai was back then it was just this amazing super colorful super vivid adventure with wholesome moments and genius characters. I miss them so much<3
