| Gintoki never really killed Utsuro in that fight imo, he just killed the body he was inside at that time (Takasugi’s) and that would shut him down for a while because Takasugi hunted and killed all of the other bodies during the timeskip I think. So then, the tower exploded from unstable Altana and absorbed Takasugis body (and any other potential hosts for Utsuro) similar to how Utsuro threw down his body into Altana in the Utsuro fight of the last season. Shoyo/Utsuro was eventually reborn at the end of the movie again and looked like Takasugi because now Takasugi was one of the possible personalities for Shoyo/Utsuro to have since he was also absorbed? Idk. The author said in the last Ginpachi sensei he did it to keep fans happy lol |
