All of this to say, if you believe that this show is anything above mid, it shows your own ignorance and lack of knowledge of what makes anime truly shine. The animation style is above average and the music is solid. However, that plus an interesting but poorly executed premise are the only redeeming qualities of this show. I had high hopes when I began this show. It had a similar vision to many of the anime from my childhood. A pure “hero saves heroine” fantasy with many of the good cliché’s. Unfortunately the pacing, awkward MC development, and overall lack of cohesion throughout the show made it unbearable at times. This show was close. With a bit of refinement it could be a very enjoyable show. Unfortunately it will have to go down as yet another in the long line of shows with immense potential that was let down by its producer either due to lack of budget or lack of care. Had this show received as much love as Demon Slayer, this show could have been a potential 8.5 or greater MAL rating show. PS: In the future, if you are going to call someone out, back it up. Evangelion sucked, no wonder you don’t recognize good anime |

I think the producers know that and want just to have fun making the anime.
