Fmab was already a remake that got rid of fillers and is higher quality so no need to keep remaking it

Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is the remake, although if you are looking for a sequel fullmetal alchemist conquerer of shamballa is what you want.

It's the original anime series, but it deviates from the original manga series halfway in. Fmab basically covers half of the original series in about 1/3 of its episodes. If you want to watch both, I'd recommend watching the original anime and then going to brotherhood and continuing from episode 15 or so.

Its fellows the manga up to the “latest” manga out at the time then deviates to it’s own unique take instead of fellowing the manga.

They had full intentions to reboot the series when the manga finished.

Which resulted in “full metal alchemist brotherhood” which 10% fellows the manga

don't listen to anyone else, just watch this show and then fma brotherhood. they start out the same but go in completely different directions. both are great shows and each offers a different perspective

There were two adaptations of Fullmetal alchemist. This adaptation and the 2009 adaptation brotherhood. This adaptation splits from the original source material around 9 episodes in (if I remember correctly) and goes completely anime original. Brotherhood is a straight adaptation of the original manga.

Depends on what you prefer both have fleshed out characters, its kinda weird seeing them have different personalities here and there though.

I agree. It gets confusing if you watch them back to back since their personalities change because fma was being produced when there was only half the manga adapted.

yes he's right
both are great shows and you wouldn't be able to fully appreciate FMAB if you don't watch fullmetal alchemist
