Theme: It's Gonna be May
Explanation: There is a famous meme of "its gonna be may" based off of a certain boy band groups song "It's Gonna Be Me" which makes it the perfect theme since... it's gonna be May.

Colors: Light blue and Royal blue
Items:

• Watch an anime with an all male main cast or with the tag Idols (male).
  You have to have boys for a boy band, right?
  — Must appear on the tag list.
  
  
• Watch an anime that shows someone eating ramen or that has yellow hair.
  As the joke goes with the main male of the meme's hair looking like ramen noodles, it only made sense to use an eating ramen item and hair the color of ramen.

Mixed colors won't count (highlights, half/half and so on); State the character used; Can be main or supporting; Character must appear listed on the provided tag list and their site (not necessarily on MAL).
  
  
• Watch an anime with a rival or a harem.
  The theme goes along with the songs lyrics.

• Watch an anime with a URL that has 5 numbers.
  Since it is both the 5th month and the boy band group has 5 members to it.
  — For example Esper Mami Special: My Angel Mami-chan ID is 10000 and Kago Shintarou Anime Sakuhin Shuu is 10003, so any anime whose MAL URL is between 10000 and 99999 can be used. (no, there aren't that many)

Explanation:

Colors: Lightsaber Blue and Lightsaber Red

• Watch a Space anime or an anime with a lightsaber
  Must be listed under the MAL genre or anidb tag.
  
  
• Watch an 80s anime
  Anime must have begun airing between 1st January 1980 and 31st December 1989.
  
  
• Watch an anime with a 4 in the URL
  Must have a 4 in the anime identifier of the MAL URL. For example, Qing Chi Hong Xiaodou Ba! would work.
  
  
• Watch a Franchise-based anime
  Anime must be listed under a Franchise challenge for the club. For example, Conan, Gintama, Pokemon, etc.

Theme: Maybe This is All Just a Simulation
Explanation: Quick! You've started to get too close to the truth. There are more clues to find regarding the structure of your life. Soon, all will realize the simulation that programs our lives. The clues can be found below:

Colors: Simulated Sky and Rebel Breakthrough
Items:

• Watch an anime with the Sci-Fi or Psychological tag
  Reach through the simulation you are trapped in... Fight against the constraints of your mind.
  — State the theme used ; theme must appear on the anime's MAL page.
  
  
• Watch an anime that has the number "101" anywhere in the information or statistics area
  The numbers are the clue... They continue to repeat.
  — The information area refers to the section below the Alternative Titles and series picture (left side), which includes the episodes, aired dates, genres and so on; The statistics area refers to the section below the Information section, which includes the score, rank, popularity and so on; A screenshot is highly suggested, since there's a high chance the stats will change by inspection and invalidate your challenge.

Theme: MAYbe we could bring these challenges back
Explanation: May is the month where many people around the world partake in a tradition known as ''spring cleaning''. While the core idea behind it is to get rid of old stuff, what usually happens (for me at least) is that we end up looking through our old boxes and archives and reflect about our past. Now let's do the AWCc spring cleaning, look at our memories and think ''maybe we could bring these challenges back''.

Colors: Spring Cleaning Green and Nostalgic Yellow

• Watch an anime that is valid for one of the 2015 Anime Watching Challenge items
  A long, LONG time ago, before the club was even a thing, one event sparked the flame of the AWCc. That event, the first Yearly Anime Watching Challenge.
  — State the item used. Include any extra information needed. For example, if you use the item about the favorite VA then state yours. Our usual rules will apply (ie, the favorite VA appearing listed on your profile). DO AVOID items like the one related to your real age, as you will need to provide evidence of it otherwise.
  
  
• Watch a Gourmet anime OR one from the Ghibli Founders Challenge
  From late 2019 to early 2021 there was a periodical time-limited challenge in the club: the Highlighted Challenge. The concept was simple: build challenges to motivate people to watch stuff that was valid for one or 2 permanent challenges, in order to get more turn-in for them. They were always a blast, albeit a bit hard to complete

• Watch an anime that is either 5 episodes or less OR 20-26 episodes long
  The Auction House! A personal favorite of mine, sadly very hard to manage... The rules were too detailed to get into here, but long story short: Everyone was assigned one of 2 roles. Either you were a Lender or a Collector. Then, you had to seduce the other party and make a suggestion for them to watch something, submitting one anime that is 5 episodes or less, one that is 11-15 eps. long and one with 20-26.
  
  
• Watch an anime that fits the will of the Tarot cards when entering the title of another anime you used for this monthly
  Okay... I'M ALLEDGEDLY CHEATING FOR THIS ONE. The Tarot was one sub-event of the Haunted Casino challenge, from just a few months back, but it was so much fun I HAD to include it (and also didn't figure out how to put randomized). Write the title of the anime you used to generate the Tarot EXACTLY AS YOU INPUTED IT.
  — State which other series was used for this one. Include a screenshot of your drawing. Paste the received item here as is. Note that it requests the username when opened, but just use the series title as listed on its MAL page. Do not redraw.

Explanation: May is my favorite month, so this monthly is made up entirely of some of my favorite stuff in anime
