I love trying to figure out this plot! I think Yoko is a clone, and her “sister” is an earlier generation. Yoko’s visions or dreams are actually memories from an earlier generation of herself.

But what is the purpose of their journey? Have they been programmed for a specific purpose or destination?

Our mangaka is obviously a racing fan, and probably a biker himself. It’s a little chilling to see Yoko climb upon The Doctor’s (V. Rossi’s) motorcycle and wonder how many years has it been since the apocalypse? What happened? What year is it now that these 20 year old bikes are sitting in a museum and treated as ancient artifacts?

I think it is interesting that when they got to the lab ch 13 it said Yoko's name was a 99.8% match, to whom? And they are linked to this facility. I think it goes along with your idea that she is in some way a clone of her sister. The one in the touring app seems human ofc, but the time gap always made me curious about how they were really related. I was of the opinion that she was somehow made from her sister, and why she is active this late I am unsure. I hope we get to see the Shelter they originated in eventually as that would shed some light, however I feel it may just be like the lab, devoid of human life. (Doesnt matter but interesting little note from the Lab, the doors that opened up were titled Ai and Y for them respectively like their names. For Airi it is moreso a serial number, so maybe Yoko's is too?

The thing that throws me off is her sensing and seeing these 'robot souls'. It seems fashioned to be related to her dreams, like when she dropped the coin in the past, however I dont see how they relate other than visually. One is a temporal shift, the other is seeing 'otherworldy' things. One potential explanation is that either because she is human, or because she is a more specialized android, Airi physically cannot see the souls with her optical sensors. Anyway random rant over. Really loving the show and DONT tell nature of the story so far.
