So I just read the news about the movies and I dont get why everyone is complaining. I havent read the manga.

Lets just say each movie is 1h 45m, like most anime movies. So there are 3,5h left.

But its only 1 match , right?

Whats the problem with 1h preparation and some training, 2h match and 0,5h aftermath? The last match in kuruko no basket was only one movie and I was totally satisfied.

Please dont give me some huge spoiler, but I would really like to know if its actually bad that the last match isnt in 3 seasons or if its just unreasonable hate.

It's 100+ chapters sandwiched into 2 movies and the matches are long as hell. So, everyone is worried about how they will do it.

Well, be happy we are at least getting this ;_;

It's not 1 match. It's 2 matches with one more seperate mini match + Brazil arc + Kuroko no Basuke last game like content

there are still 110 chapters left in the manga after season 4 ended thats enough source material to make 30-40 episodes so fitting it in 2 movies without full chapters getting cut is imposible

man there two karauno match left and 1 bokuto San match left and then Brazil arc the last game

that means 3 full game and 1 mini games and 1 Brazil arc

and only 2 movies in my opinion there must be 4 movies

It’s much more content than you realise- multiple matches and arcs left that span over 100+ chapters. For reference, Mugen train adapted a single arc spanning 16 chapters into a ~2 hour movie and JJK: 0 adapted 4 elongated chapters into a ~2 hour movie. Based on reference, the problem is that there’s not enough time in 2 movies to fit everything that’s left.

Just to add, the problem with the Kuroko example you used is that the movie isn’t part of the main series, it’s a prologue special whereas the Haikyuu movies are still sourced from the main series

I think they will adapt until chapter 370 and maybe add 2 OVA later, that sound the most logic conclusion!
