It's not that the story is difficult to understand, it's that at this point it's convoluted and poorly written, revealing "the whole story" won't fix that. Since the show is probably sticking pretty close the novels (I'm not sure because I haven't read them) it feels like a case of the publisher wanting something darker and edgier because of the era so they were forced to change the direction of the novel at the last moment. At least that's what this reeks of to me. |
| Just when I thought it wasn't going to be Anri, it turns out she had the main blade for this thing the whole time. Seems that because she has this it has caused her a lot of trouble. |
