| Hope this topic isn't considered too old to post on, but Merman in my Tub is a slice of life manga centered around monster boys. It has a short anime as well. I think you'd be interested in it based on the examples you provided. Basically this dude rescues a merman near a polluted river and lets him live in his bathtub. More sea-animal monster boys who are friends with the merman are introduced throughout the story, like an octopus boy, jellyfish, etc. It's simple but I think it's a cute read/watch. There's also a manga called The Girl from the Other Side. I'll admit I haven't read much of it yet, and one of the mcs is technically a monster boy but looks sorta like a furry. But the plot is interesting so far imo. "In a world split between the Inside and the Outside, those living in both realms are told never to cross over to the other side, lest they be cursed. A young girl named Shiva lives on the other side, in a vacant village with a demonic guardian known only as “Teacher.” Although the two are forbidden to touch, they seem to share a bond that transcends their disparate appearances. But when Shiva leaves Teacher’s care to seek out her grandmother, the secret behind her mysterious living arrangement comes to light." (Pulled this from the wiki) |
