Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie

(in anime) They'll show how they got together,Izumi at one point of time will feel insecure that Shikimori is ashamed of him(which isn't true),then Izumi will go through a realisation later on and start working even harder...but all the while maintaining the current wholesomeness and SoL theme. Also the character Kamiya's short character arc will be explored a bit,and Hachimitsu's inner struggles in the sport festival arc but it isn't that deep. Shikimori's past was revealed after chapter 120 so Idk why they showed it in the OP,or this might be another rushed adaptation like Horimiya itself. I can say nothing for the anime rn, coz the adaptation might turn out to be disappointing. But Shikimori herself is unique for me personally,I totally love her lol. |

| The manga is actually pretty unique, and very wholesome, it's a shame that the anime feels absolutely soulless by comparison. |

| I feel like the female cast of this series are just more interesting characters than the male cast, so hopefully it gets more balanced out as episodes release. Horimiya did a good job balancing out the main cast and giving them chapters of their own to shine |
| The main horimiya is better than this, but mainly because it had more story and all. I would rather compare this story to side stories horimiya, where it's just everyday life of group of friends where the main characters are dating. And, imo, this part is so much better executed here. The main couple won't get forgotten, the side characters get spotlight and despite the laid-back atmosphere it does feel like their stories lead somewhere. At least that's how I see it (talking about manga here tho) |
