Series all the way. Original series has unique atmosphere, especially if it's about music (eurobeat). Apart from that these movies are stripped most of the plot. If you'll watch only movies, you'll be missing a lot. Unfortunately in movies there's only action to the end of season one. As for the series I know the old CGI can be nasty for some people but gradually it gets better and better.

Series! Movies are really good, but the series, the plot, is just simply better.

While I admit that this is one of the few times where the alternative movies are actually a good alternative, I have to agree with the others on saying that when you are able to watch the original show, you should watch the original show.

If the animation isn’t enough to turn you away from the series then the series if it does then the movies
