Asta's father

Spoilers if you haven't finished the anime.

There have been a lot of theories about who Asta's father is, but I have one that no one has considered. This only occurred to me after I finished rewatching the series yesterday.

He didn't have one.

I'll explain. Asta's mother, Licita, drains the life force from anyone who gets close to her. What do you think happens to all of that life force? She's a woman after all, capable of creating life. Given the lengths she goes through to distance herself from other people, it's possible she accidentally killed someone too. It's reasonable to imagine her body could use all of that life force to create a new life. That could even be part of her magic or why she drains it to begin with. She might have given Asta up because she didn't want to hurt him, but that may not be the case. She was really close to him when she dropped him off at the church. He might have been a constant reminder of the life she took, or maybe she didn't feel like she had a right to keep him. Maybe she wanted him to have more than a life of seclusion.

She and Asta look too much alike. They're basically identical to each other. That would be understandable if he got only her genes. He may even be close to a clone, born through parthenogenesis, only without mana or an attribute of his own. This would also make sense if her power doesn't affect him, as if he were a part of her. It's simply too unreasonable that anyone could get close enough to impregnate her, so this makes the most sense.

It's hard for me not to notice all of the religious symbolism in Black Clover too. I could write an extensive post on that alone. There is a lot of inspiration drawn from mythologies like Norse and Greek, as well as Christianity. It's not a stretch to believe that the savior of the world would have an immaculate conception. It's a common theme in mythology.

I'd love to know what you guys think. Does this seem possible? I haven't seen any other theories that make sense. I only hope that I don't ruin it if Yuuki Tabata is planning to drop this bomb.

Great theory. I like it and think it’s plausible.

The only other thing I can think of would be finding someone who can somehow handle her drain ability. Not sure that’s possible or not but maybe?

If anything your theory actually is cooler than that.

So basically you think asta’s mom got pregnant without a man touching him or she created asta with the life force she got from people or something like that? Interesting

It's possible but I would rather it be an actual person.
Likely the king himself and licita was a maid at the royal palace, this makes asta and yuno actual brothers.

Interesting theory. However I wonder who got Asta's mother pregnant. Maybe one of the priests or idk, maybe Yami Sukehiro himself. Ngl this course of events would be awesome. Alternatively vice captain of Black Bulls haha.

Or simply a person with virtually infinite mana might be his father and died fighting a high level demon only failing mariginally. Sure this is lame. But this gives Asta atleast a father 🥲.

Wait a second Asta's mom drains life force and Henry drains magic, both Asta and Henry have white hair, they both end up in the Black Bull's, and they were both abandoned by there parents, HOLY F-ing Shiz HENRY HAS TO ABSORB MAGIC TO LIVE BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE A STRONG LIFE FORCE. There HAS to be a connection. I don't know what that connection is but there HAS to be an explination.

Okay on a second look at Henry I realized that he has more of a light blue hair while Asta's is move of a gray color, But I still think that it is to much of a coincidence and that there has to be something there.
