Manga or anime.

Saw this whilst browsing manga na dlight novels online so went to check reviews and saw it had an anime. Multiple seasons and a movie. The manga seems to be finished but idk if the anime so what should I do? Read the manga or watch the anime. Tbf though if I do read the manga there's no reason I cant watch. Just wondering if they are different etc

If you just wanna stick with the original work just read the manga. The anime is good but season 1 is super long and has a HUGE amount of fillers. Season 2 is faithfull to the manga. Season 3 is completely anime original and to be honest for me is the worst out of the 4 since it kinda leaves aside what hayate the combat buttler really is. Season 4 is based on the manga but is just a mix of chapters featuring some specific character so you’ll get one episodes centered in each character.
