| I'm asking after noticing a while back that a "School" genre tag was added (now technically considered a "Theme" under MAL's newly reclassified system), but Slice of Life seems at least as fitting or appropriate, if not moreso. Plus, I notice a trend of criticism toward this series in reviews and comments on thread topics in this sub-forum and on other forums is "lack of plot" or "little to no plot development". Slice of Life is the absence of being beholden to such traditional narrative structure defined. It seems like it should be reframed and people who knowingly dislike more SoL-style and SoL-paced series can avoid. |
