How faithful an adaptation is this?

I'm seeing that there is a 15 volume Manga & this 12 episode Anime & obviously they can't cram all of that into 12 episodes so did the anime do it's own thing or did the adapt the 15 volumes as best as they can?

It has been a while since I’ve watch the anime but from what I remember the anime covers the first 6 volumes.
