Why cloverworks removes ______ scene from the show??(may contain spoilers)

If I remembered correctly they did kiss in light novel(sleeping pils scene)so why did cloverworks removes that scene it was just mentioned in anime when mai jokes him about kissing in movie shoot.

Ratings doesn't matter only enjoyment does.
Masterpiece or mid, generic or fresh,best or worst are all subjective
Eren is goat,and aot is still a masterpiece (eg.subjective opinion)

They actually did kiss in the third light novel outside Mai’s apartment which got cut and I’m not sure why

actually she said in the anime that she kissed him but he forgot about it.she indeed actually kissed him when she gave him that sleeping pills and one more time in the light novel.

yeh I think they did in 3 rd novel which where adapted in the anime but not the kiss.
