Monster has no fillers, it's all part of the plot

it's very irritating these dumb people who don't understand that a story can not only depend on the protagonist and the villain but all the other characters have equal importance, it's not just Tenma and Johann. it seems you've never heard the saying "if it's in the original work, it's not filler," you guys need to be smarter before this silly judgment.

The author has done well in his story and is devalued only for not giving in to a method that has become commonplace today. they always forget that it's a manga written in the 90's and that should be taken into account but I wouldn't have any problem doing that nowadays but people are impatient and find it boring.

People have the right to find it boring, no piece of media is going to please everyone, but everyone is looking for something they enjoy and most people do enjoy Monster.

Yes, you're right, it has no filler but it's 74 episodes long and it does feel it's length.

There are moments / arcs that are dragged for too long yet in the end (don't worry, no spoilers) the total screentime of Johan is way too reduced.

I still gave it a 10/10 because it's masterful and I love it but it has some issues.

It's because this anime is not for everyone. Y'know Monster is not kind of shounen mystery anime that casual mystery fans like Odd Taxi and Durarara will like. In short, this anime will twist your mind into 360 degrees.

Not the best but one of the best. I kinda predicted what happened at the ending but Monster destroyed my mind. If new mystery fans want to watch a mystery anime, I'm sure they will watch Odd Taxi, as their gateaway mystery anime. But for higher tier, they should watch Monster or monogatari series.
