Should i watch this or the 2014 series?

Watch both, they are very distinct from each other, one is in feudal japan and the other has a more modernized look, the newer one is a little bit better animated, story-wise I prefer the newer one, but they are equally good, pros and cons in both of them

2014 has better plot but this one has better characters, animation and music. This one is also kind of episodic with main plot resolving in last couple of eps. Though I don't prefer episodic shows I like this one better than 14 one but 14 has higher score on MAL.

It is shocking to find how many people do not believe they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult.
