As the title suggests, I want to know if I should keep going with this( I am chapter 20 or so). I also ask you to tell me when you fell in love with the series as some of my favourites were hard to watch in the beginning; but I stuck it out and came to appreciate them.

tbh I still don't think I love the series as a whole but the last two arcs(yoshioka brothers arc and farming arc) where both 10/10 for me. It's not like my favorite series ever or anything but it definitely has some great material towards the end.

I'd say, for me it was after the first 30 chapters.

The start may feel a bit stiff, but it's worth continuing.

Keep in mind that the manga is not finished and it doesn't look like the author is picking it up again anytime soon though. So continuing may feel a bit painful, even if or specially if you end up loving it.

First yoshioka arc (ch22) until the end. Opening arc is probably the weakest. Grand ma stays annoying the whole way through.

I was already in love of the series before i even started cause i search it in Google and i see the art style of vagabond i was holy fuck is this real so i immediately read it and was easily a masterpiece and the reason is because the characters are easily one of the most well written character of all existence and yes even the side characters so what i mean is vagabond is a character story driven so don't expect some amazing plot or some shit cause vagabond plot is just fine the characters are the reason why vagabond had such high ratings and it deserves it...........

And it get good at chapter 1

It gets amazing at chapter 50 plus

It becomes a masterpiece at chapter 200 plus

"When did you come to love the series?"
When Takezo was taken down from that tree.

I started to love it more between chapter 60-170, my favorite parts are Sasaki kojiro's arc and Musashi vs Yoshioka

well i had the same issue but I decided to just keep going. Right now as I'm writing I've read 127 chapters which I believe is the end of "chain and sickle" fight. I still think it's the same thing as it was in the beginning. every time musashi hears a bunch of pretentious phrases, goes through an identity crisis, then keeps fighting other people.
Personally I'm gonna read 'til the end because I can't describe how fascinating Takehiko Inoue' artstyle is. but other than that I really have no other reason for reading it

I read the entire thing and I never really came to love it like literally everyone else around me did. Never understood what it actually does for people, lol. For me it was super basic & sometimes exciting, almost all of the duration bland. Feels super aimless and repetitive in a lot of instances with how each page is trying to be presented as super calm and atmospheric. Somehow ittousai(despite limited screentime) was the character I enjoyed the most and farmland arc was the place where I truly cared about the series.
