Will MAL do anything to address and discourage brigading, spamming & gatekeeping scores/positions in the top 50?

I know we had preventative measures put into place to counteract bot and spam votes & brigading last year, but it seems those changes have been long forgotten or are purposely ignored and people continue to spam votes in the thousands, largely affecting a show/manga's score.

The top 10 has a gatekeeping issue, where a few thousand people, when called upon, can easily control which show lands where, and can prevent shows from staying in the top spot for less than a day. Is there any way to stop people rallying together and spam thousands of votes, or is that issue out of the mods' control? How can shows be truly reflected in their ratings if something like this is allowed?

Brigading and coordinated attacks on a series' score still occurs, and it doesn't seem to be prevented by the current systems in place. Take Devil Survivor 2: Show Your Free Will for example. It's currently ranked 11th in the Top Manga section and is a victim of a coordinated stunt by an Iranian YouTuber and almost 1000 people. Seems like they can manipulate a show's score: https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1935637. Is there anything being done to prevent something like this (like you guys did with Interspecies Reviewers)?

The voting system is broken and doesn't truly reflect a show's proper score when thousands of people still have the power to manipulate the rankings, regardless of the scoring changes put into place last year. Surely you could do something that can detect voting irregularities (like influxes of 1's or 10's) and have them properly analyzed?

They do try to address brigading. Older anime generally are tougher to change the score for since they have far more viewers and votes.

I can understand they're trying their best to combat it, but at the same time, they're dealing with the most toxic fandoms. Not saying there aren't any good people in them, but at least here, these fandoms really don't have a good reputation (*cough* FMAB *cough*).

It's kind of far fetched, but some mods could even be behind it, too. What's even worse is that if it's higher ups that have been working on the site for a long time, they might be less likely to get reprimanded for it. Of course, this is just a theory.
