| I saw this before seeing BR 2049, and they used the term "blackout" quite a bit. This anime was meant to be a predecessor to the film, do you know if this was referenced in BR 2049? |

| Blackout 2022 was, along with two Live-action films (2036: Nexus Dawn and 2048: Nowhere to Run) part of a series of shorts meant to bridge the original Blade Runner with 2049, by adding the blackout to the timeline and introducing the characters of Niander Wallace and Gentle Sapper. That'd make the correct order Blade Runner -> 2022 -> 2036 -> 2048 -> 2049, with Black Lotus presumably afterward. |
