| I apologize in advance if this offends anyone, but I would like to ask a question about Tae. I might be completely wrong, but if the legendary Tae Yamada woke up like the rest of the zombies, is it possible she is someone with autism? Although Tae does eat a lot and drool (like a typical zombie), if she is like her human self, that means she always had a communication barrier, which makes me wonder how she died and why we know so little about her. But if so, I think this anime did a good job at showing how everyone is accepting and loving of her whether it be her fellow idols, her Franchouchou fans, and even people in real life! I don’t think of it as tokenism because we’re never made to pity her; in fact, we’re meant to cheer Tae on and see her as a regular ol’ idol/person/zombie! Heck, she’s a fan favorite for a reason 👌 If I’m completely off, let me know, because I genuinely think Zombieland Saga might’ve given an unexpected spotlight to a community we don’t see often in anime media, and I hope other people also share the same positive feelings about it as I do~ |

| Not all japanese care about representations, obviously, but there are plenty of mangaka and directors (such as Ikuhara) that are really open-minded and always insert LGBT characters on their works. And the same goes to autism, people of color, any minority. You see people like this in real life, why not in an anime? It's natural. |

| As a person on the spectrum I always felt connected to her character but I honestly would be surprised if they decided to make a somewhat official statement on autisim in the anime. Even if it's true I doubt it's necessary to admit it. So ye |
