I am going to start watching and i want to know whether to watch this in sub or dub. I prefer dub but don't mind a good sub like aot and jjk. Let me know

Personally I prefer subs, I have nothing against dubs at all in fact theres a number of anime I would say are better watched in dub. But the Food Wars sub is REALLY good, all the va's done an amazing job in their roles.

I agree and some anime dubs I feel don't get the voices correct but that's just my opinion

Honestly you could go either way with this show, both the sub and dub voice actors did an amazing job.

Haven’t watched it in dubbed. I watched it in subbed. The sub voice actors fit the characters well. I don’t know about the dubbed version tho.

I prefer dub because I can get into a show better but I will also watch sun if the dub is bad or there is no dub.

Food wars is my favorite anime and tbh honest I think the dub suites it better though it’s not the sub doesn’t do it’s justice. I personally like the Souma’s voice actor in dub rather then the sub. Like when ever he finishes a cooking battle in dub he says “Your welcome” which sounds more stuck up like he knows his food is better vs the sub which is “glad you liked “ which doesn’t really provide the same effect. Though dub Edina is really annoying ngl. Also best girl is Alice or Nukumi/Meat,Meat.

I’ve watched the show both subbed and dubbed and honestly you can’t really go wrong with either. I probably prefer the sub still, but the dub is also great. Just comes down to preference

quite personally for me I watch the dub. And that's because they are doing a lot of explanations about the food and how they make it. I want to enjoy the show without having to miss all the wonderful animation and artwork of the food and cooking. So that is why I do dub for this one.

I prefer dubs, but I like this anime in subs. The English voices are not as good for this anime in my opinion

Sub of course. You cant get the full effect of the dub version I dont know what but something kind of difrent with the dub versions

I usually watch dubs over subs bc i often watch anime while doing other things like cleaning or whatever. But the dub for food wars was kinda bad. Soma’s voice was alright but some of the character’s voices were so bad. The characters from rural Japan have an american southern accent and a lot of the female character’s voices are kind of monotone. The sub is so much better.

I personally preferred the Dub. For me it was easier to follow and made it more enjoyable to watch when eating ( because who doesn't eat while watching Food Wars lmao ). The dub was good and convenient but I had no problem switching over to sub for seasons 4 and 5. I recommend starting with dub and if you genuinely think it's that bad then switching to sub.
