Hi guys! First time posting here, I wanted to talk about Yoshiwaka as a character on Horimiya

The first impression you get of her is like a normal side character with some personality but on ep 9-10 she has been getting a lot of character development and at this point I feel represented so I want to talk about it. Yuki’s psychological problem is her not being able to define and express if she likes something or not, and a past where you didn’t got what you asked for is what we saw on her flahsback with her mom and sis (her sis being the one trying to solve her problem asking her to say if she wants something), this makes her fear asking for something or just wanting something (thing that she can’t control, like her feelings for ishikawa), and when Sakura started getting development while Yuki watched it, it shakes her comfort, the taking place the development

I think I might have gone too far but I whould want to hear you guys opinions if you are interested :)

This has little to do with Yuki but I honestly think Remi has to go down as one of the best, if not, the best character in the show. In addition to the comment she made in the cafe/restaurant to Yuki in episode 10 about Yuki confronting and not running away from her feelings for Toru, her overall character development, especially in recent episodes, has to be acknowledged and appreciated. I hated her when she was first introduced in one of the early episodes when she blamed Kyouko for losing some student council documents. However, since her own arc/episode (I think it was episode 7 or 8) and through other interactions throughout the show, she has grown into one of my favourite and most likeable characters in the show; and not to mention, she’s extremely cute, both in personality and in looks. We (+ Sengoku) must protect her at all costs. Yuki and Sakura too!!! I hope they get all the happiness they deserve😩

If you like/relate to Yuki and are glad that things are working out for her, I'm happy for you, but I think the series missed an opportunity for her to develop. What's even stranger is the way it handled every other romantic development. It can be difficult to make yourself emotionally vulnerable, especially as a teenager. From the beginning, I think the show has done a good job portraying the characters leaving their comfort zones and putting themselves out there: Toru confessing to Hori, Miyamura confessing to Hori, Hori confirming her relationship to her father before really confirming it with Miyamura or herself, Sakura overcoming her insecurities and confessing to Toru, Remi and Sengoku's relationship, and even Yanagi confessing to Yuki. Unfortunately, the one character who seems to struggle with it the most, Yuki, doesn't get to make that step. Instead, Toru just kind of gives himself to her the same way her sister gives up her hairpin in the flashback. Everyone tells her she needs to be more assertive, and she recognizes it herself, but if you get everything you want anyway, what is the incentive to change?

she didn't, Toru made that up to get Yuki back to school, I also didn't notice that the first time I watched the ep

I beleive Toru is giving her bigger and bigger hints in the upcoming eps so she will finally confront him herself about her feelings

All the conversation mentions the confession without anyone (source reader or otherwise) calling it fake. That said, I didn't watch all the way to the end, and I'm not going back to rewatch it, so maybe you're right
