| To be honest, while I agree it's highly upsetting, the way end of Eva works, it's kind of nessesary. Like personally I prefer how most of the cast lived the whole TV show and seeing even the nerve bridge crew die in EoE sucks but all things considered it's the direction EoE decides to go in and as such I think it's a pretty great death. To those who think it made her character 'worse' it's actually like a 100% in line with her TV self and I like the way it's sudden, she she gets a moment of bad-assery but in the end she dies a quiet and seemingly unimpressive death, just like her father, who if you think about it conversely, also died not knowing that saving Misato would effect the course of the world. But ya it is sad, which is probably the point, for better or worse. |

Same as with Asuka: even though she did get revived at the end of EoE, the fact that she died (in such a gruesome manner, too) cannot be brushed aside. It's as if you have a sort of perfect storm; you already have those characters who were under immense mental strain die in very disheartening circumstances. |
| Seriously? As much as I liked Misato, that was the least of my issues with this movie lol |
