| there's seven novels. 'Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet' vols 1-7 started March 18, 2017 and #7 came out in Japan November 20, 2020. it is written by Yuichiro Higashide and illustrated by NOCO, with Kōshi Tachibana as the supervisor. supposedly the 2 movies will serve as a prequel/introduction to those seven novels and yes... supposedly there is only 2 movies. https://www.monstersandcritics.com/anime/date-a-bullet-release-date-2-part-date-a-live-movie-fall-2020-theater-premiere/ but we'll be more worried about DAL main plotline anime coming in October 2021 than the Kurumi side novels. :) |

I watched both OVA of DAB seem like it's already have an ending that have an impossible sequel. but light novel currently have more than 7 volumes. I doubt the anime is canon or original ending. The OVA is an original story that is loosely based on the first spinoff novel. |
