----------------------------------------
So far, Gin has been great at controlling and predicting people. To throw him a curve ball he didn’t predict, more than anything before, is the way to test his adaptability. After the meeting changed to such a difficult location with some smart opponents, Gin made a plan and proved himself. He had Morita adorably announce “it's me” with a blushing face like a kid, seriously he’s just given all the easy jobs, I love it, although I wonder if his voice was more suited for the job or something. And once there? He proved he can adapt well. Luring his targets out by calling to them and going so far to bash one’s hand in the door, he had the gall to utter that he doesn’t like senseless violence. The slogan for any cold and pragmatic man with a cause.

I’d like to take a step back and wonder what the purpose of this introductory arc is. We were introduced to the intriguing Gin and the relatable Morita at the start of the series. Then it quickly turned into this large scale battle for cash with corporate giants which is portrayed as quite rule of cool. It feels like I’m watching spies as they infiltrate and keep track of the enemy, fighting through pawns and ripples. An easy answer is because it’s fun, or because this is the hook. The start of the series has to grip us! But it’s narrative purpose also shows just how intelligent and crafty Gin and his men are by tackling such a big and complicated issue and dealing with the complications as the first thing they do together. It’s setting a precedent for the main cast.

Also, the blood spray here was similar to the blood spray in Buraiden Gai. It makes sense coming from the same mangaka of course, I just found it notable. I think it's the two times I've seen Fukumoto draw gushing blood.
