| THIS IS A NOVEL ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS VOLUME. ---------------------------------------- It's not anything very original, but boy was it enjoyable! I'm really glad to have a novel were the kouhai seems to be the main girl. The characters are hilarious and Mashiro was the only one that got on my nerves during the volume. But when I took my time to think about why she is the way she is, it made sense It's just a matter of time before this gets an anime adaptation as it's very popular in Japan |

| Just finished with the first volume and I have to say that this is good. Story wise it's completely cliche and predictable, nothing unique at all. But the characters and illustrations are really good. Iroha and her family's past is something that has really piqued my interest. Im really interested to know what kind of incident they had in the showbiz industry that made them hate it. Now, talking about Akiteru our main character, he is a dense one. Somehow he reminds me of Katarina Claes from HameFura. Both have the same dense personality, are kind and helping others while thinking about how to save themselves and are liked by everyone. Also, those intermission chapters gave us a good understanding about Iroha and Mashiro's real feelings. Iroha is fine but Mashiro too?? I mean is it some kind of trend where one cousin has to fall for another???!! Because I can swear I've seen the same development in numerous other series. Overall, this was a really good read and I'm looking forward to reading the next volume!! |

Oh well, there's 4 more vols, you wont lose because MC is the pinnacle dense beta jap that thinks whamen whoring themselves to those that they love are screw-loose and dont exist. I had a thought that either Iroha or Mashiro was this VA that MC mentioned but when Kohinata was revealed that she's the VA I was like "oh so that's why Mashiro knew" I should have drawn conclusion that Mashiro was the writter when she moved. Oh well, all well that ends well. I want this chapter solely dedicated with Oz and this highschool president... Just do it... Man, shota x Onee-san are the most vanilla shite but I guess, that's not bad. I do not like it but well. sensei have this kind of facade isnt that bad I guess. The Kohinata household is like, how do I put it.... if having a one genius is already a miracle. Who woulda thunk that they'd have two. Family circumstance will prolly soon revealed which I'm not looking forward to. This MC and his copypasta Oreki is how do I put it..... very tilting... It's like how do I put this.... Imagine yourself fapping to a hentai and you're like; "well I cant do anything about it because it's what my body needs so I ought to do it", and for the love of god, to treat yourself so low that you make yourself a sandbag and you start punching yourself every single fucking day.... Wow.... has to be the funniest thing I've ever seen. This so called "efficiency method" he always proclaims is something that's always a tilt redflag to me. Oh well. It's kinda funny that he hasnt thought that Mashiro might be this writer of his. Oh well... we ought to arrive at that point somewhere. Dense MC isnt new in this fucking degenerate world, like fucking fuck's sake, every fucking WN prolly that is currently being publish in Syosetu ( or I think the name of the jap website that ppl post their WNs) are already fucking filled with so much dense MC protag that you dont have to read it to know it. How can you be fucking tactful and fucking so heavily dense that you'll fucking drown in water if you jump... OH FUCKIMG BOI I hate this LN so fucking much. I dont know if I should be laughing at this, because halfway through reading this I'm fucking tearing up blood already. help me. I'm dying. character dialogues are meh at best, because the most thing that we found out about is that MC despite being the sole leader of the group distances himself from it. How it was logically conveyed was the utter shithole of this LN but what can I say; if this is how the LN is constructed; then it shall be the focal point of it. I think the one thing that I will say tho, is that how it is so ironic that the past that the MC disregarded for the sake of efficiency is actually the sole reason why he is fucking drowning in tears for being overworked ( or so he claimed) especially considering Mashiro's arc... Oh well but then again I cant really blame it on the character because it was the template that was set-up.... I dont think the love triangle with kouhai and osananajimi will conclude. Pretty sure it will be like dragged on until like vol.05 or even way past it but I dont really mind because I've steeled myself for this outcome. |
| I decided to give this one a read coz I fell in love with 'Gimai Seikatsu' and wanted to check out the author's other works. But tbh, I got bored pretty fast while reading this LN. Maybe my expectations were a bit on the high end after reading a series I enjoyed a lot which might have led to this feeling of disappointment... All three main characters (including the MC) were annoying af imo (maybe it's intended to be that way by the author with there being "annoying" in the LN title and all). Not to mention the MC being your typical black hole level dense mofo who actually makes fun of his best friend Ozu for being manga-protagonist-like in his monologues while calling himself average... Though the LN wasn't entirely bad. I liked the Ozu dude coz he seems relatable and Sumire-sensei was good comedic relief. Also, the main plot about them making games and their goal of trying to find a purpose in life on a field they are good at instead of blindly following their parents expectations is quite interesting. Maybe if they tone down the "annoying" stuff and the typical cliché developments, I might enjoy this series more. I think I'll put this series on hold for the time being and probably wait for the anime. If the anime turns out to be good, I might pick it up again. |
