| in all I've seen the closest to it are sideburns in Afro Samurai and Baccano. Afro kinda has a beard actually because your brain generates a goatee when you hear samuel jackson's voice in him. but yeah, no mcs with actual beards. Also Askeladd is considered a mc, but from what I know about vinland saga he's not the kind of mc you're talking about. |

| It's pretty rare, considering the main character has to be male and old enough to have a beard in the first place, which is pretty uncommon for anime. B: the beginning is the only one I can think of. |
