| It really depends if the thing that keeps the anime going is the characters or the grand story itself, if the main selling point is the characters and said characters aren't enjoyable to watch then I wont watch it, but if the anime sells itself on stuff other than the characters, like the world, the production and the general story, then I wont mind the characters |

| No i don't. That being said anime with both op and weak MC's can be fun to watch if done the right way. Watching a dude getting his ass handed to him is just as ,if not more, boring as watching a dude destroy everyone he sees. |

| Imperfect? No main character shown in anime is perfect. Get it right. |
| I mean, if the MC is a Human, human are imperfects, having flaws is something common. I understand more a character that is afraid of, idk, risking his life. than the "i dont care about this people/place but i will face the death because of plot" type of character. in the other hand, yeah, a permanent weak/afraid MC tends to be boring, not a bad character, but a boring one. |
