This has notably better direction and animation than most other war propaganda anime in this era, but I still can't bring myself to like it.

Best part was when they were just cooking with the happy song playing.

Easily the best war propaganda film from this era. The visual storytelling was pretty impressive at that time and still is now.

I don't know if I'd consider it the best, considering some of the cartoons from the west out at this time, but for what I'm assuming is a budding animation industry though it's pretty decent.
