Generic harems since they existed before the first Isekai I think.

The word elitist is stupid since it's just used by people who can't defend their favorite shows and use it on people who criticize their favorite shows.

In my experience, the "generic isekai" complaints have a lot more validity to them than the complaints about "generic harem". Most of the time people complaining about harem just see any anime with one male character and multiple females as a "harem".

Frankly, I've seen a lot more "generic-ness" in isekai than harem. Whenever I've watched a "harem" there's usually been plenty interesting and different about it, even if the show itself might be bad.

So if the anime included in the lists were down to the general fan fanbase, I wouldn't trust them not to mislabel decent harem shows as "generic". So I guess I'll say generic isekai.

That thread sounds as re... extremely unsophisticated as it can get. Vegetarianism is not an art movement, it is not supposed to concern preferences.
