| No she doesn't, however of all the characters who died in arc 1, she's the only one that stays relevant afterwards, as her death and the revelation of what she was doing creates major waves accross the various main mahou shoujo factions and magical world's authorities. The purge and investigations that ensues and the various peoples moving in the shadow to take advantage of the created instability are the sources of most of the following arcs in one way or another. Assassinations, large scale manipulations, terrorism, peoples moving motivated by their own sense of justice, political schemes and criminals, suddenly lots of the things or peoples that were silently moving starts to clash violently, with some peoples even taking the opportunity to artificially aggravate massively the scale of some of those clashes just to make sure that none of their potential political enemies involved survive them. You could say that her death and the reveal of what she had been doing for decades acted as a detonator for a system that was, unbeknown to most, pretty much a cargo full of explosives awaiting for someone to light the fire. Calling her a main character considering she was only here in arc 1 is very arguable indeed, but if only one of the 15 dead characters from arc 1 should get that treatment, this is definitely her. |
