My first anime was Pokemon first season (Indigo League). First anime movie was Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi.

Fullmetal alchemist was the first anime that I watched and realized it was anime. Saturday nights on adult swim opened the doors for me.

Back when i was 6 or 7 years old my older sister that watches anime back then she had gotten hold of a chobits set of dvds and out off curiosity ended waching all of it ,it was then that i fell in love with anime and to this day

It was Beyblade and I watched like the first 3 seasons on my TV at home. I didn't know that it was an anime until I watched Shugo Chara. Also I thought that Gingka was attractive for some reason, him being the protagonist for the first few seasons. :L

The first anime I watched was Yuu Yuu Hakusho when it was airing on Toonami. This show has a special place in my heart as it got me into anime.

I'm boring. It was Pokemon. On TV.

First anime I watched knowing it was "anime" was either Rurouni Kenshin or Shaman King. First not on American TV anime I watched was Azumanga Daioh, fansubbed. Later it and Kino's Journey were the first anime I bought on DVD that weren't on TV.

That said, I read a fuckton of manga long before I started watching non-televised anime. I believe my first was Ah My Goddess or Magic Knight Rayearth.

I watched Pokémon and The Secret of Cerulean Sand on TV when I was a kid, but my first non-kids anime was kaichou wa maid-sama! and I watched it on YouTube when I was 12

My first anime was Speed Racer, but I didn't know it was an anime at the time I watched it. I didn't really get into anime until I saw Salior Moon which has a special place in my heart. Both of these shows aired on Cartoon Network.

Heidi, a 70s anime that Miyazaki actually worked on before founding studio ghibli, my mom had already seen it when she was a kid and now she was showing it to me. Watched it on YouTube each episode separated in 3 parts. The good ol days. The first anime that I watched knowing what anime was would be kamisama hajimemashita.

The first anime for me was Pokemon and Digimon on TV as a kid as the majority of the people. The first anime that actually got me into watching anime was the movie Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and then the anime series Kiba which I found on YouTube seven years ago.

The first anime I ever watched was this one old one called Full Moon wo sagashite. I'll never forget that feeling I got. I was just scrolling around YouTube, looking for cartoons that actually had meaning and feeling, something for older kids. I stumbled across anime. I just absolutely loved it. To this day it holds a special place in my heart as the first anime I ever watched and the beginning of my otaku life.

Doraemon would be my first anime, however Metal Fight Beyblade was my anime realizing that it is an "anime".

My first show was Samurai Champloo which I saw with my brother when I was like 6 or 7. Has been one of my favorite shows since and one of the reasons why I like fantasy and action based anime so much lol

"Doraemon The Movie 1987: Nobita and the Knights on Dinosaurs", I watched it on DVD when I was around 5 years old. And also, that DVD included the movie in regional languages (I'm from Spain) plus the short film "Robot School's Seven Mysteries" (1996).

Although really could be first Shin Chan.

But on Internet I'm between Acchi Kochi and Sakura Card Captor, but I think that I watched an anime before the two ones.

For me it was attack on titan at a friends house after we saw a painting that he had and thinking that it had all of the generic parts of an anime intro, watching some anime intros, then watching attack on titan.
