There is a visual novel released for the series on the PS Vita, with videos of gameplay accessible on YouTube (albeit most with no subtitles). I see that there are multiple endings possible, with one video labeled as "true ending" which deviates from the ending in the anime and which allows a certain Giftia to regain her memories and be activated again. A person is adding information that the Giftia is alive (because of the supposed VN ending) on the Plastic Memories Wiki, and I would like your thoughts on whether this is canonical or if I have enough basis to revoke the edit. Personally, I feel like it is just a possible ending and not an official one. References to proof telling that the "true" ending is real would be appreciated, too, as some YouTube commenters are saying that the staff of the anime have said that the VN ending is real, though I have not found proof of this.

Some say it is, some say it isn't. I'd like it to be, as a reimagined or possible ending for a S2 or OVA. That way, we can keep S1 as is and only really introduce the essential character from the game, Dr. Yu, early on in the S2 / OVA, and go from there to a happier overall conclusion.
