I'm nearly up to SD gundam, but late july/early august before I could watch this series if I need to see previous and wouldn't mind starting this as it goes.

But there's another entry for SD series here https://myanimelist.net/anime/44041/SD_Gundam_World_Heroes
that starts in Spring, seems like the article is talking about this new show as well.

And it says (google translated): "It has also been decided that "SD Gundam World Sangoku Sojuden" will be distributed in Japan from February 25, 2021 on the Gundam Channel."

It could mean that they'll start from episode one and continue in April but I don't see any mentions about episode 8 though.
