Until Faria’s death, Dantès’s love for Faria keeps him connected to his own humanity, by keeping the humanizing emotion of love alive within him.
Edmond took advantage of the situation to take the place of the father farias and consgeuir to escape the prison.
But more important than the money left by Farias, the knowledge to know how to survive in society was the most fundamental.
