| I have been wondering this for the longest time. I think we can safely assume that Yuno is the son of a noble, and he has always been in the clover kingdom. However, Asta is different. I have 2 theories. 1: Asta is actually Julius's son. I think it would be just like the author to throw that twist in. The strongest magic knight (former) sired someone without any magic power. I also think it possible that his memory was erased so that he would have no memory of his wife and/or kid. Asta and Julius are so similar. Their eyes light up the same way when magic is talked about. Both have childlike personalities, and both want to rush into battle without thinking things through. In the anime, it always looks like Julius wants to say something extra to Asta, and I don't think that was an accident. 2: Asta is the son of someone in the diamond kingdom. I currently don't have any theories as to who, but it would fit. Someone is the diamond kingdom (who is obsessed with power) gives birth to someone with 0 magic power, so they drop the child off in the clover kingdom. It could be that Asta is the byproduct of a diamond kingdom experiment gone wrong. "Maybe we can enhance the child's abilities while they are still in the womb!" <- Or something to that effect. And then there is the idea that Asta is Licht's son. Yes, both Licht and Asta can wield the demon slayer swords. However, the issue I have with this is that Asta is a human, and Licht is an elf. While it could be another manipulation magic, why would Licht want to sire something he so very much hates. And let the child be in the very kingdom he hates? That theory just doesn't play out all too well in my mind. Anyways, #1 is the theory I'm leaning towards most. What do y'all think? (And will Noelle ever admit her feelings!! | I think Asta is a normal human being (or not) but a demon is using him to revive himself. Well that's what I think atm (I watch anime tho). |
| The manga in the current arc is giving out possible small hints about Yuno's family tree, but nothing on Asta yet. I'm sure we will find out eventually! |

| I think asta is the Magic Emperor sister's son who married licht , he looks much like her in the flash backs and kinda explains why he can't use magic since he's half human half elf (probably) |
